London Pub|Live Music|Great Beer Selection|Bar Games
The historic London Pub was established in 1903.
This neighbourhood pub, which is nestled in Chinatown on the edge of Strathcona at the corner of Main and East Georgia, was constructed during Vancouver's pre-World War I building boom. London Pub, with its exposed brick arches, floor to ceiling heritage windows, creative draught beer line and inviting Pub atmosphere makes this one one of the most unique Heritage Pubs in the city. The location of the London Pub is just part of a collective effort at rejuvenating the Main-Street-South-of-Chinatown area.
BEST pub in Vancouver by far! Great location and energizing game day crowd. Start the night here and you're bound to continue well into the night. Easy to get to location.
Local beers on tap and friendly service. Buy the pint and make new friends!
Regina, New York
Historically in Vancouver, men and women were segregated. Within the pub, there was a seperate area set aside for "ladies and escorts". A ladies beer parlour was constructed at the London Hotel in 1931. Women drinking on the men's side were assumed to be prostitutes. Today, the two entrances still remain, one at the corner of Main/Georgia and one along Main Street. The external appearance of the Pub contributes to the building's heritage value.
